Laser printers use toner, a powder that melts on paper, to create permanent images. Such printers typically print faster with the help of documents and fade-resistant documents. Laser printers work by aiming a laser beam at a rotating light-sensitive drum / photoreceptor to flash page images. It charges areas of the drum that match the black and white or colored fields in the image. By reversing the charge in a specific area, the laser beam can print patterns like text and images on the photoreceptor. The pattern of the drum is then coated with positively charged toner which is stuck in the area negatively charged by the laser. When the paper passes through the printer, the toner is transferred to the paper through an electric charge, where it sticks, melts and forms a clear finished image.

An inkjet printer is a popular choice for home printing needs. Similar to how TV and computer screens present images through clusters of thousands of pixels, they create images by spraying thousands of tiny ink drops on paper. Ink cartridges are usually sold in yellow, magenta and cyan colors. These three primary colors can be mixed by a printer to create any color needed for printing. As the paper is fed through a set of rollers, a piece called the print head moves back and forth, spraying exactly that ink. Although this technique is much simpler than a laser printer, it can easily create fog. The main difference between a laser and an inkjet printer is that an inkjet printer uses ink for document printing and is best suited for those who pay a high price for print, while a laser printer uses a laser and most suitable for those who pay a high price. However, there is a difference in the extra minutes that we will cover in this article.
Laser printers are best suited for those who: Print high volume black and white documents Requires fast printer with large print capacity No gallery-quality photo prints required An office needs a printer - laser printers tend to be larger and heavier, making them less suitable for home offices Don't forget that toner cartridges are more expensive for inkjet printers than ink cartridges - however, keep in mind that while they are more expensive on the front, they last much longer than ink cartridges. Inkjet printers are best suited for those who: High quality image required - Inkjet printers have improved tonal variations and are good for color mixing Print on a variety of paper prints - Laser printers cannot print on paper that is heat sensitive, which limits the types you can use Don't print it often - these printers are slow and their paper trays may not hold up as well. What is the difference between toner and ink cartridge? Toner cartridges are a powder used in laser printers, while ink cartridges are a liquid used in inkjet printers. Ink cartridges can be much more expensive in the long run because they need to be carefully crafted for high quality printing capacity. In addition, since they are in liquid form, they are much more expensive to ship and store than toner cartridges. Although toner cartridges are more expensive on the front, since they come in a powder form, they save well in the long run, which means that for some companies an up-front investment may be more appropriate than ink cartridges, which tend to dry out over time.
